LOL I can see it now...next year, prospective JHU students will be on the lookout for the famous nadaba when they come to visit the school :laugh:

I bet nada will be the only CSU student there... we have a CSU student or two here, but we probably have 10-15 UCLA kids and a few CAL, irvine, and riverside kids.

I think you have zero shot at being anonymous at your school, Nada. :\

But seriously I wouldn't worry about being identified by other SDN'ers at your school. It's not like you're outspoken, douchey, idiotic, or neurotic in any of your posts so you'll be fine 🙂
 
I have doubts that nadaba (or any of us) will be recognized at our new schools. If we are, I would bet that it would be from the facebook group and not SDN.

Rice and the museum district are both pretty nice. I've only driven by them up until today, though.

I just realized today would be a bad day to tour a campus, with all this rain. Yuck.
 
so i got my summer stipend for my postbac program and decided to use it to finally get my car serviced (it hasn't been since August :scared: ) turns out I needed to get my rear breaks replaced. With all that driving I do in my crappy commute, I went ahead and bit the $224 bullet it took to get them done. Oh yeah, this is in addition to the price of the routine maintenance at $200 for a grand total of $424 :scared::scared::scared::scared:

Why does everything have to cost money 😡😡😡😡

Cars are so expensive to maintain... I am way over do for an oil change and tire rotation, ugh....

Yeah, and since I have no clue on how to do any sort of self car maintenance, I bite the bullet and get it professionally done at a dealership. So. Much. Money 🙁

well i dont know anything about fixing a car and wouldn't want to risk voiding the warranty. Nor do I know of any non dealership service areas around the area. I've got no choice really 🙁

Dealers usually have people who are factory certified and know what they're doing. On the other hand, expect a bunch of random, made-up problems with your car that the dealer will say that they "fixed" for you (and will cost you a lot more). But overall, you can be sure that your car won't have any problems afterwards.

OMG this, the guy gave me a list of other things that they said either could need fixing and none of them made sense. I'm sure he was trying to nickel and dime me out of my monies. well more like $50 and $100 bill me out of my monies 🙄🙄
