Ok but i wont be able to retake until jan or feb and i sent my apps in and lors and ive gotten emails from schools, ok ill just tell u guys since i feel like were a family and we tell each other everything but i got a 10. I honestly dont know how and im just really stressed. Please nobody laugh at me.

Nah... no one is gonna laugh. Personally it's not funny (I get outraged when I bust a test), but don't beat yourself up. You need to quickly re-evaluate what you did to get that score.

2nd Schools can accept you, with condition you re-score higher.

Did you take practice test?

No one is here to laugh at anyone. With a score like that though, you really need to reevaluate what happened. Was it material? Was it the standardized test itself?

There are other great careers other than medicine out there. I'm not saying give up, but don't feel discouraged to research other careers.

First off thanks guys i appreciate it and second i honestly didnt put forth enough effort into studying but i still thought i did better. I really want to be a podiatrist. Ill just try my best to di better and let schools know if i get an interview that i have a great personality and can become a great doctor. I am only 20 but i just stress myself out way too much.

Basically am saying you get, what you put in - in life. If you want a 30+ score, it doesn't come for free. Anything over a 20 is highly doable, with a little effort.

I doubt any of us seriously cracked the mcat, but we did good enough for where we hopefully want to be. Trust me take practice test, really timed. Grade them and see why you got them wrong. Watch the entire Khan Academy in Bio, Chem, Physics. Get a exam cracker books.

You will be ok.

Exam Krackers were great. Long hours studying and lots of practice tests. I think one of the biggest issues with the test is just learning to manage your time. Put in the time and the effort and you will be fine!

On another note...I called DMU, Scholl, and AZPOD today to verify that my app and LOR's had been received. DMU said everything was good and that they will let me know soon about interviews. Scholl said that everything had been "received" just not "uploaded" to their system and that I should hear back from them within the next "couple of weeks". Yep...AZPOD said that they were making changes to their system and they, at the moment, couldn't tell me if everything had been received but that they would call back within 24 hours.

Hopefully that gives you all an idea about maybe what to expect from those three schools. (I'm aware that some of you have already received invites from DMU but for those of you who are still waiting and wondering on these other schools' decision, hopefully this helps)

I still check my email at least a dozen times a day though...even after normal business hours! haha

going by last years timeline i'm not surprised . this 3 took the longest to send invites last year.

KSUCPM took someone with a 15 last year and most other schools took at least 18. The great thing about this for you is that because of how the MCAT is "curved" it is easier to go from 10 to 18 than it is to go from 18 to 20. you could THEORETICALLY improve your score by a few point just by getting 5-6 more questions right.🙂🙂🙂🙂

We all have areas of weakness, just decide if this is what you want and make it happen

My uncle writes the MCAT.... no i'm jk. I apparently am on SDN far too much, and I ran statistics on the past two years of tests based on when people posted in the "Official MCAT Thread for ...." Turns out most scores were posted between 3:05-3:15 with only 2 exceptions. The reporting distribution was pretty much a standard curve, so it was easy to predict.

Also, I think Nikkisorous interviewed at Temple this past Monday?

Nice! That's exciting! Especially if DMU is your number 1. Get it over with and sit back and try and enjoy the rest of your undergrad! I'm hoping that our career services will do the same to me as well. Better to go in expecting death and be ready for it than to go in and be surprised. Good luck!

I don't think it's an official program. I called the school yesterday and all they did was suggest hotels. So I booked one last night, my overall total for the DMU interview is at 1100 so far. So anyway to cut that down would be great.

Say somebody like Calibaby has applied and didn't get the MCAT score they were hoping for, so then schools reject them. Well what happens in January when they retake? Does the school take another look at their app with the new MCAT score? I am just scared to apply before I know my mcat score but I won't know my score until October..

going by what i know ( from last year ) ... Temple will send rejection letters if you don't meet their minimum req on the mcat

Well, if you do that, it would be lying. Also, you can't just pick which score to give AACPMAS. Once you "upload" your score, it uploads all MCAT test scores to the podiatry app service, so you can only "pretend" you didn't take the test, until they see the other test that you inevitably will have to upload.

NYCPM and Temple offered me interviews before my LORs were in... that's the only thing that's missing though... my adviser is really taking the time to submit them...🙁

Financial Aid = no idea

Scholarships = once you get an admission decision (1-3 weeks after interviewing)

Decisions = 30 days after a school offers you acceptance.
