Still Nada... I've check twice already.

I did get in my final LOR, so I will be sending those out this week.
 
Hey nikkisorous did u send them ur mcat and lor's as well? Because im wondering if i can get interviews without both of those items.
 
hmm I haven't thought to check mail.... I will when I get home.

I guess we wait for another day. I wonder if its because I haven't sent my LOR's? I wouldn't imagen that would stall them contacting a applicant with decent stats.

No I don't have anything. The cycle will officially open tomorrow with verified application made available September 5. We are currently processing this information. Once an applicant's file is processed (meaning we have received their verified application and started a file for them) this student will be notified of all received documentation including their LORS.

I posted a while ago about my professor whose dad had passed away and how she probably hadn't sent my letters yet. Well, I saw her for the first time yesterday and she said, 'We need to meet to talk abou where I'm sending your LoRs!' I just said "Oh okay!" I went to my email, saw that I sent her an email on August seventh with all the addresses and all the options of sending everything, but I figured, hey her dad just died so she probably isn't totally "here" yet... So I just forwarded her the email and dropped off pre-addressed envelopes in her office. Hopefully she'll get them in the mail today!
 
I decided to use interfolio in case I need to apply to any other school... I need to bug my PI today.

Did they send it to your current or permanent address, if yours is different? I have my current address as my university address, and my permanent as my parents' address, and I hope they don't send everything to my parents. Bc that would be a pain.

it depends on what you selected as preferred contact method you can check it in your app an see what you selected
 
Same here, shows mail date: 09/05/2012 on all schools. Now is the serious wait period. They can see electronically as of now our apps, how many days until contact?... I'm not holding my breath, I say a week or two for DMU, AZPOD or CSPM.

I hope they prove me wrong!
 
Am I the only one who applied to Barry? Haha. Also, for you people who have received interviews...have your LORs been submitted? My committee letter is sent, but my DPM still hasn't sent my letter!
 
I wish I applied to Kent, and Temple just so I could hear correspondence. lol

Lol I applied to Temple today..... maybe because my school paid for it, maybe because i just want an interview!

I might do the same, cause hey, I mean it is Temple. Maybe the better known school by name recognition nationally.
 
Do they not offer interviews to students without mcat scores and lor's?

This might help when telling great aunt muriel, but all the residency programs know all the programs (and their strengths and weaknesses) and landing the best residency is what really matters.

I beg to differ. Many residency directors are "older." Back in the day when they went to school many argued temple was on top, a lot of these directors expect no less of grads today and may have partial bias.
 
I was just messing around about the "name brand" of Temple. I'm sure its a great school but I'm going to wait till I hear from CSPM and DMU.

I did apply too Western, but that thread kind of freaked me out. haha

That might be true, but I think that has less to do with the fact that most Americans have heard of Temple and not NYCPM, than most pods know that Temple has a strong history of producing qualified residents.

No I mean, it's sorta true. When I was filling out a form to get reimbursed for application fees, I was torn between Barry and Temple. The professor who had to sign it basically said, no one has ever heard of Barry but everyone has heard of Temple (I'm in the Midwest, maybe in the South Barry is a big deal?). While I'm not sure if this matters exclusively in podiatry circles, it might matter when I'm filling out the form that my school needs to reimburse me. One of the guidelines is that I apply to a leading program of study. The Dean of Faculty at my school is more likely to give me $$ for Temple than Barry for this reason.
 
I think I have gotten a Kent State graduate programs email every day this week! Nothing about podiatry, just grad programs! haha

I received an invite for an interview from Temple today!
 
I received an e-mail which said that I have been invited for an interview and that more information will be sent via mail.

Lol so have I, and then this morning I got an email that they have received my application and mcat scored (still no LORs)....hopefully some other info to come and an interview invite. My gpa is average while my MCAT is above average so I don't know if I will be one of the first interviews.

You'll be good. They aren't going to wait like a month or so just to interview you because you have a decent GPA.
 
Man I guess this week wasn't the week... unless i get a surprised email later this afternoon.
 
Well that missed call from Western yesterday ended up being a interview invite, and wanting to schedule me. So least I have one option as of now.

it LITERALLY just came via email.

Also though, I wouldn't fret much, because I did the DMU summer podiatry preview and so I was "guaranteed" an interview, so they didn't really have to look at my application...
 
common DMU and CSPM don't make me go to Western... nooooooo lmao
