So my "one month anniversary" of taking the MCAT falls on a Sunday...I'm assuming they'll post the scores that following day but did anyone else have their "anniversary" fall on a weekend and see scores then? (hopes a little high I know but you gotta hear from someone with experience to rule it out! haha)

ok the ocd in me is doubting something .... for Barry we had to schedule the interview to the other email mentioned in the interview invite right ? not replying to the actual invite 😕
 
Yea CSPM invite as well... Schedualed for Oct 31st...

I will dress up as a Podiatrist for the Halloween interview. lmao.

I'm not really sure, my top choices are temple and NYCPM, and i have those interviews this week. I think I'm going to decide on the interview date after those interviews. if i do schedule it, it's probably going to be in late october/early november... have you decided on the date yet?

I'm thinking after the 11th because the other two schools I applied to are waiting on MCAT scores and those get released on the 8th soooo...That's about as far as I've thought about it now! Just glad that I finally heard back from someone for an interview!

Congrats on the Temple/NYCPM invites though! Good luck at those interviews!

To those of you who have received interview dates, etc.

How late into December are schools running interviews? Also, how early in January do interview dates start back up? I'm hoping once I get my application and everything in that I could schedule interviews after finals in December, but that may just be wishful thinking.

Not sure, I didn't many dates for after November. It's a pain traveling in the middle of a semester with looming tests, and quizes. I wish they would interview during school breaks, but thats not how the dice roll.
 
Got invites from Scholl and CSPM today as well as Barry. Fun day. Headed to Barry on October 5th, and Kent September 28th. I doubt ill head to cspm and scholl. I honestly did not expect to get interviews at every school I applied to... I am only an average candidate. That should make anyone who is on the fence feel good, if your ecs/letters/people skills are half way decent. Really wanting DMU though.... loved it there...

Ain't that the truth! What's even worse is being in Oklahoma about as far away from any of the schools as possible! Can't make any "day trips."

I drove through Oklahoma on my way to Phoenix over the summer! It was a 28 hour drive though, so... that doesn't mean much.

Temple: October 12th
DMU: October 19th
Scholl: November 1

Haha, ya. DMU is the closest and its still a 9.5 hour drive. AZPOD is about 16 hr, so I'll most likely be going the flying route. Either way I'm gunna have to make some long weekends in my schedule. Hate having classes M-F 🙁
 
Hey guys, If planing to apply this cycle but haven't taken the MCAT yet, (planing to take Jan MCAT), and just started shadowing a podiatrist this week, is too late or am I still fine

Hearing all the interviews' invites are getting me nervous. I probably will not be able to submit my application until October, will there still be seats for me and others who, perhaps, apply in like January? Do they reserve seats or something??? T-T :scared:
 
All of you freaking out...keep in mind that about 900-1000 apply and roughly 600 get accepted. Have you seen 600 people in this thread get accepted to schools yet? No? Then the classes are still open. Granted im sure there are many not on SDN...but i would imagine those that are more "on the ball" are on something like this to get/give advice.

I get the anxiety, I get that way too, but seriously, everything is fine. It just seems like a lot of people started early, however i'm sure the vast majority haven't sent out apps yet.
 
Hey, you can apply before taking the MCAT, I called and asked since I took my MCAT in late July and wanted to apply early Aug. Just put on your app that you are planning on taking it in Jan. with those stats I am sure you will get interviews before your MCAT comes in.
 
This early in the cycle, there has to be over a 85% chance we will get accepted to any interview we go to, as long you don't act like a psychopath, and clueless to the profession.

Lol it was kinda silly because I emailed them about a potential conflict in terms of scheduling and they said Oct 11th would be the only day that I could make work, ten minutes later I got a generic email taking that day off the list of possible interview dates. Thank you Scholl... Lol

I got the email yesterday as well and needed to talk to a professor about a conflict with an exam...I got home today from class and Scholl had emailed again with the 11th not available anymore so I signed up for the next two available as soon as I read it just to make sure I got in next month! haha

I'll be there the 25th.

Actually, I just emailed Scholl, and it turns out they just scheduled me for Oct 11 because they knew that was the only date that would work, so I actually got in that date!

haha my bad guys. My brother lives there so i was able to pick the earliest date without worrying about the hotel costs and stuff.

Are interviews conducted in dec too? Are there still spots for nov and dec?
 
To those who received invites from Barry or Samuel Merritt, would you mind disclosing your stats?

Stats:

Sience: 3.8
Overall: 3.02
Mcat: 22O

I am a nontraditional student, with probably a way more diverse app then most (I would argue) - and may be the exception, not the rule.
 
Accepted to DMU but checking out barry... cGPA3.16, sGPA3.15, 23P

Temple: Oct 12

I haven't got an interview from Scholl or AZPod yet. Do they wait until all LOR are in? I got an email 8 days ago saying that my application was received

Scholl waits for at least 1 LoR I think. I called them yesterday and she said they would be reviewing my application this week even though I only have 1 LOR.

Got an interview at Temple! Still waiting for Schollllllllllllll!!!!

I'm not set on DMU. I want to check out the other programs first. See what they offer and how DMU compares. If i had to answer, I'd say DMU is my #1, but I want to make sure I'm making an informed vacation.


Also, yes. I like road trips/time off school. 😎
 
my final interview schedule looks like this
October 1 - Temple
October 22 - Barry
October 26 - Kent
November 5 - CSPM
 
If i retook the mcat and did well in biochem like ocpm wanted me too, could i reapply later in the cycle even though i was denied admission?
