ARGhh my mother is so ****ing annoying!! so she's constantly pointing out that i'm 'fat' (along with my grandmother) and tells me I need to go on a diet..and this is seriously affecting my sister! she's only 7 yrs old and she's like "I need to go on a diet, and i'm fat" 😡 grr its one thing to call me overweight, but dont f*ck up my sister's mentality at that age!!!!

I'm sorry ;/ parents are def frustrating. My parents are annoying when it comes to the classes im taking for med school and the whole process. They think im taking the wrong classes and im wasting money and they think ill be a shoe in for med school when in reality its not easy and i dont even have my 'final' gpa and mcat scores etc..

I know what you mean 👎 I get that too from them. They don't know why I volunteer or join clubs, or anything. They think I'm too a shoe-in. 🙄

exactly.. But actually regarding volunteering they like the idea i do it. But mainly when it comes to classes i seriously have to remind my dad so many times that i need to take physics...chemistry.....biology......organic chemistry.


he use to always say i understand you need physics but you don't need chemistry....lmao! if that was even true why would...physics > chemistry....

its really frustrating

Well i went to my grandparents house to pick up a small table and some plastic shelve things so i can put it next to my desk. I have the table to do my work on because my desk is too high for me. I also got a cool lamp 👍

def set to study in my room now! :laugh:

hehe i informed my parents that carib and international schools are bad to go to and i remember a while back i was against D.O schools and I told my parents that they were the "rejects" but now i bring up that i wanna apply there and they bring that up ;p

back then i was naive :laugh: I'm surprised they remembered something 👍

No everyone applies for loans for med school but the government/banks don't offer subsidized loans to any1 anymore for some reason. ;/ That means we can't get a loan that accrues interest after school, every loan we get will accrue interest while were in school....that's gonna be a lot more debt.


and yea ima apply for 24 hr fitness, hopefully my credentials aren't too overqualified:laugh: lol jk

My mom always forgets what I'm trying to do and the process. It's like...what are you studying for? Oh the MCAT, okay. Two days later she'll ask again 🙁

My parents won't (can't) pay for any of my undergrad. I'm paying a pretty penny to live on campus this year, but I just had to do it. 🙁

same...but the only thing that bugs me is that im sorta rushing and my parents don't really realize it.

i honestly kinda wanna slow down but in a way i dont? 😕 anyways if one of my prereqs don't work out these last two semesters then im screwed and will have to be class of 2018 lol :laugh: I mean im planning on getting my bachelors in 3 years, if something happened and i have to wait its all good.

but i wouldn't mind because again im 17 and a junior....

ppl need to be smart about their education and how much they spend.

-went to CC in the beginning, finished in a year saved money.
-transferred on scholarships and grants, im paying like 1 grand for all my classes at the university
-staying at home, commute to school, saves $10,000+

its all about saving up that money for med school 👍

I wish I was smart like you...I'm at CC right now. Debt? $0. if i get straight a's this year, I get a full ride...i'll be commuting still.

Imo it doesn't make much of a difference in the long run if you're going to a state school. Rather take it slow and relax a little, but that's just me.

idk i look through the tbr and ek and i just feel lost, doesn't it get a lot better once you dive into studying
