That's what I am too. I play a bunch of instruments, and sports, and have done other cool things--but have mastered none to the point of being amazing >.<

I find it odd that the pre-med club at my school tries to scare the members out of being pre-med. Gunners at their finest. 👎

hahah I can actually make myself cry. XD
I sometimes feel like I could become anything I want (like a dramatic actress lol) because I'm half skilled at all these things yet I go and be interested in the most stressful one.

If you already have good grades and are involved in some good ECs you have nothing to worry about 🙂😀

The meeting I went to they tried to throw out numbers that you need for like the top10 schools for all med schools. Like saying things like if you don't have a 32+ or 1000 hrs or research you wont get into any med school. Silly things like that.

I'm not worried about myself since SDN has properly informed me of things, but I sure feel bad for the freshmen/sophomore that are being fed this nonsense.

Awwww dude you're the best. Yeah, I honestly still can't believe it. I'll be at the med school this summer doing research in whatever I want. Their Endocrinology and Metabolism department looks OFF THE HOOK, so guess what I'll be doing????? Muahahahahahaha.

THANKS TOTSSSS! Nope, I won't be applying anywhere!!! I'm totally totally schmotally set on going to this med school: it was the perfect fit for my interests/perspectives on medicine, and their Latino Health program is BOSS. Spanish-speaking patients here I come, hahahaha 😀

To the person (I don't remember who!) who asked if it was an early acceptance program: yes, it was an Early Assurance Program. The weird thing is that you can only apply to it if you go to one of ten liberal arts colleges in the US, so I'm just lucky my school happened to fall into that category.

YOU GUYS SHOULD ALL APPLY THERE REGULAR DECISION, GET IN, AND BE MY CLASSMATES OMGGGGGGGG.

Ok since we are not going to see each other on the interview trail I will visit you someday. Maybe when I need comforting from the scary app process. I am totally applying to that school anyways so maybe I will get an interview there......Heard good things about it.

So how're you getting involved in research there this summer? You're still not attending until the year after you graduate right? (Assuming you're c/o 2013)

YOU TOTALLY SHOULD. Yeah, I didn't apply until I was absolutely sure it was where I wanted to end up. They have incredible community health programs, Pass/Fail pre-clinical, integrated Double Helix curriculum with your Primary Care Clerkship starting your first year/clinical classes starting first semester, amazing International Medicine programs, a year-out academic research/medicine abroad programs that they pay for, Latino and Deaf Health pathways, and just awesome people. And their biopsychosocial approach to medicine is actually the coolest thing ever. It would be beyond baller if you got in and went, too!!

Ah, I never said: University of Rochester Med School! Yep, I still have to graduate and fulfill pre-med requirements, so I'll be legit Class of 2017 (basically I'm not leaving this thread :laugh:)

Honestly, Tots, I have no doubt that you'll get into something akin to Penn/Harvard. You have an incredible application, and your MCAT score is going to be off the charts. I'm sad I won't see you guys on the interview trail: I do have to say though, interviews are pretty fun. Even though it's super stressful, you're INVITED to go see a MED SCHOOL firsthand. I've only ever had two, and one definitely catered to me and one didn't. My favorite question: What's your home life/family background like? 30 minutes later I finished my answer, bwahahaha. They really shouldn't have asked 😳

Hahahaha thanks man, I'm still kind of in denial.
Yeah, I have to graduate first and then attend, but they let you do research for six weeks and take an anatomy/physiology class. If you guys have any questions about what the interview is like there I'll totes mcgoats answer them!!

But anyway, how are YOU guys? GooseWing, mohad-- when do you get your scores back?????? I can't wait to see how ridiculously you guys rocked it.

We get our scores back in 2 days (Tuesday)!

I lost a good hour or two of sleep last night because I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm definitely more stressed now than I was on the few days prior to taking the test.

The countdown widget on my computer says 2 days 2 hours and 45 minutes remaining :scared::scared:

premed clubs are kind of dumb in my opinion. The one at my school makes you accumulate points to be a member. You have to wear your shirt to get more points..

Wow! Ours is just pay $20 and you get a shirt. We are going to set up some tours to some medical schools.
