So I have an interview next week and went to book a hair cut with my barber just to find out they left the shop and they wont tell me where my barber went

needless to say the sky is officially falling

My Barber for the last 14 years left just before interview season. My hair just kept getting longer and longer as the season went on until I gave in and tried someone new. It wasn't the same 🙁 lol

this barber even have an interview hair cut where it looked professional but not like you just got it cut for the interview (which seems to be the only time i get hair cuts)

I have now been informed my barber has temporarily left the city and there is no estimated time for return.

I may have to start finding a new barber...I wonder if you can interview a barber and ask for references ?

stupid lab work getting in the way of being able to spend all day camped outside of a barber shop

Get really sick and say you were hospitalized and therefore unable to finish. Seems to work for undergrads who get poor grades.

Just picked up an extra shift for tomorrow. 😀
My wife is so cool, she's all "lets just do our own valentines day some other day next week"

Nice. I worked 20 hours OT last pay period so I'm not down for extra shifts right now.

However I figure the more OT I do now the sooner I can quit.

That's pretty awesome. The most overtime I usually get is 10 hrs in pay period. I think I only got 5 this last one. Picking up this extra shift brings me up to a 5 day workweek.

Oh I already work 40/week. I can't always get OT but I try to jump on it when possible.

Unfortunately my position is PRN meaning I'm not guaranteed any hours. I usually get scheduled three days a week, but I'm a popular guy to get called and cover other people's shifts so sometimes I'll work 10-13 days in the pay period. 😎

So anybody picking up new skills/hobbies before school starts this fall?
I'm learning American Sign Language and its been really fun so far!

One of the schools (and one of my top choices) makes grad student sign a contract stating we will complete our degrees before starting or they rescind your acceptance

Also I was hospitalized in September. I don't think I can use that excuse twice in one year have any other options?
