Fafsa and taxes done! Unfortunately we're getting about $3100 less back than last year. Suck

I don't think so. Some anticoagulants are not necessarily antithrombics.

Yes. All anticoagulants are antithrombotics. Not all antithrombotics are anticoagulants

🙁

Got my refund today. All of it went right to the credit card I used for applications.

So heparin is an antithromobotic but not an anticoagulant? Nope.. it's antiplatelet.

I dont know which one heparin is, but antiplatelet and anticoagulants are both antithrombics.

Different anticoagulants affect different blood clotting processes:
Antiplatelet drugs limit the migration or aggregation of platelets.
Antithrombotics limit the ability of the blood to clot.
Thrombolytic drugs act to dissolve clots after they have formed.

😕😕😕

Right.

Different antithrombotics affect different blood clotting processes:

Antiplatelet drugs limit the migration or aggregation of platelets.
Anticoagulants limit the ability of the blood to clot.
Thrombolytic drugs act to dissolve clots after they have formed.

Indicating that antiplatelet anticoagulants and thrombolytics are all types of antithrombics

Then where does serotonin come into play?

Just realized I've been typing antithrombotics wrong. I blame my phone.

Just had an epic pug in counter strike source on esea. Forgot how fun that game is (and how stressful)

Bad news keeps rolling in. Apparently I don't have enough credits to finish my minor. "Double dipping" apparently isn't allowed, even though I was told it wouldn't be a problem my freshman year. I hate the world.

Lame. I double dipped to get my minor. Was awesome.

Pfft. It's forensics. Big deal.

You're in med school, care less 😛

But if you can't care less, then I'm sorry about your situation 🙁

Yeah, I know, but I actually really liked those classes and would have liked to get some sort of recognition for taking all them courses. Also, I feel kind of ripped off considering the previous program director of the minor had no problems with me double dipping.

This is pretty much why I hate dealing with my advising department. Every time I go in with a question some other issue pops up and I $@!# bricks thinking it'll stop me from graduating/progressing. It's been like this for the past 3 years, but luckily I set a plan in stone and got it approved last year and have not deviated from it, so hopefully nothing pops up. Wouldn't put it past them, though. I still have to officially meet with my advisor for her to approve my application to graduate, so :xf: that it goes as planned..

Yeah. I just need to see if there's any paperwork or something I need to fill out saying that I'm officially not completing my minor then I'll call my schools and update. Annoying. I have better things to do... Like Guild Wars 2.

I was 3 credits away from getting my minor in chemistry; Spanish major. Difference is I knowingly avoided that one last class I would have needed. It would have require a whole 'nother semester and the only professor who taught the class was, by all accounts, a total jerk face.

Edit:
My main point is that I agree with others, it probably isn't going to matter to anyone since you've already been accepted.

True. Although I always feel better when I do things in person/over the phone so that I'm sure the message comes across.

Haha. I was just joking earlier. I know it's not going to matter. I'm just jaded about not having an official minor.

Eff that, I'm telling people in the future that I have a minor in forensics.

I'm the opposite. I'm a much better writer than speaker; perhaps that explains why I've been wait listed after so many interviews.

Apparently, I have 22 minor credits, but 12 of them are major requirements. I needed 12 credits outside of my major. I'M TWO CREDITS SHORT.

:bang:

If only you planned it out instead of relying on the adviser. Sorry for your losses.

Also,

so glad I go to bed early... too many wtf posts/threads happen late at night.

I originally planned it out with the minor director at the time. He recently moved to another institution, and now this new guy is bringing up this issue that I the other guy had no problem with. Ugh.
