I hate the Retcon. They made the best character ever so weak.

I'm quite different irl than I am on SDN. So not only am I protecting myself against a cat in the hat type situation, but I'm also protecting myself from classmates thinking the MedPR persona is reality and/or thinking I'm bipolar.

I've heard that Ecuatorianos use syropa for syrup. I don't think Mexicanos have different words for syrup or honey. I think we say miel de abeja or miel de maple. It gets confusing when you just say miel which is what I usually say.

There's something to be said for taking whoever has the best financial aid package. At least you got some nice offers 🙂 Most people here didn't get anything like that.

Yup, that's the only way I'd give up my top two choices: if one of my back-ups offers a substantial scholarship or aid package. I'd much rather be happy during med school, perform well, increase my chances to match well, and pay it back by living frugally for a year or two as an attending than risk its reciprocal.

On the bright side, you're all but guaranteed a really comfortable salary, regardless of what you decide to specialize in. Combine the comfort of extreme job security with the fulfillment of doing something you love for a living, and you're left with a pretty incredible combination. In my mind it's one that can't be beat. 🙂

Yup. I was so excited after my first acceptance and then became quiet anxious about loans 🙁 I wish I knew the financial aid packages of each school right now instead of having to wait... oh well.
