Man I don't check SDN for a few days and this thread starts?

Was a 16'er but decided to take a gap year. Glad to meet all of you fellow 17'ers!

Man ozzi you're getting gutsier and gutsier with those chain posts! Don't get me wrong, I fully support them but aren't you now living constantly looking over your shoulder for mods? 😀

so what are you guys doing in the summer to stay competitive? are most us preparing for the mcat? doing any dope research? summer classes?

I'm pretty much just taking summer classes and volunteering at different organizations. I want to do research but I can't for the life of me find something that both interests me and is convientely close to me for me to take part of.🙁
 
Post-Bacc: I took GenChem1 and lab first summer. I am currently taking GenChem2 w/lab and Physics2 w/lab. I still shadow and volunteer when I can.

Well I was hoping to not retake my 5/21 MCAT, but now I'm studying the rest of the summer.

I am shadowing (FM in a clinic; switching off between Rads/Cardio/IM in a hospital) and volunteering in a nursing home as far as EC's go.

Already feeling senioritis setting in for this next year.

I took a break from research and decided not to work so I could study for the MCAT. Have been doing some volunteering too. Despite my attempts not to be busy this summer it has been pretty hectic 😡

Ochem II. O-chem lab. 15 hrs of research a week. Training for a marathon. And studying 2-3 hrs/day for the MCAT.

Yeah, this summer is killing me.

This has been my summer as well. I'm not doing any volunteering currently, but I am preparing for all the other EC's and leadership I'll be doing this year.

Just broke the 200 hour mark in my MCAT prep yesterday 😱 14 days of content review remaining then I start taking all the AAMCs on the 24th 😀

It's going to be wild to see what I actually get on my first FL after all of this prep. I might just go a little bit crazy if it doesn't pay off like I want/expect it to :xf:
 
I'm *suppose* to be volunteering at two other places, but for now it's just the hospital and my class that I'm taking :/
 
I'm taking several graduate courses, working, and volunteering. Yeah for 2017ers! 🙂

Man, I feel bad now. I've been studying for maybe 100ish hours for the past month. I have my test in mid August. I gotta step my game up it seems.

wonder if there is a correlation between the number of hours studied with the score you get..

Paul411 came up with the idea! I copied his source code by right clicking on his MDapps screen and choosing "view source." I then personalized my page by editing the HTML and CSS. He helped me with some the nesting of the div tags. 🙂

Yea Immunology was a great class! It wasn't easy though....one of my worst bio grades haha. But it was worth it. I took a human parasitology class this past quarter and it was awesome!
