Huh, you know what I never put two and two together but if that is the case then that is very clever!
I don't know what you are talking about 😉
🙂Nice 👍
Not a pure review, no. I loathe those. There's a reason they're required in grad school. But let me know if I can be of any assistance. Just PM me. I've been very fortunate to have had my fair share of publishing.Guero?
Last week of June for me! Wooohooo! Can't wait![]()
omg you guys make me feel lazy. I quit my job like 3 weeks ago....

That's my floor from this morning, gotta love free printing at work
Let see if this works... trying to attach a photo of the ridiculous weather outside.
Beautiful!
Hahaha, yes, that's how my floor often looks when writing. I've learned to just keep them electronic. Far easier to use the "search" function to facilitate your writing than sift through paper versions, highlight, and forget where you highlighted. Ah, the learning curve. Why do you hate them?
Haha sounds good. I've been pretty fortunate as well, I love writing so my PI just gives me a topic and tells me what direction he wants to go in and I write away. This is my first review though, almost everything else has been editorials. Just trying to see the difference in style I should be using.

I loathe review articles because they're so tedious. You must review for every paper you write; but review articles are your review on steroids, usually encompassing an insane amount of material to deduce an ultimate point. Plus, they tend to be inordinately long when done well and use meta analyses to further bolster your point. Me no likey. I essentially did a PhD research review proposal with the immense support of my neurosx mentor, but was ultimately turned down by the head of psychiatry when he was asked to consult, citing too radical an idea (hence my NS mentor's continued respect and involvement in my research). Let's just say my idea brought back bad memories and stepped on psychiatry's toes. 🙁 Great early political lesson: That polished, final manuscript ready for submission took me 2 years to write before it was essentially thrown in the incinerator. I think that's where my real disdain lies....
Gah, I'm jealous of everyone for already knowing when they'll quit. I don't even know what school yet and whether or not I have to move cross country. No idea when I'm quitting or if I'll even have time off 🙁
Haha damn. I'm hoping my ideas aren't too radical. But my PI is known for his radical ideas so I'm hoping its expected. Ah well, we will see how it goes. Already have 25+ citations in the first paragraph alone, I can't wait to see the final count.
"You must review for every paper you write; but review articles are your review on steroids" what do you mean by this exactly?
Maybe I'll PM you, I don't want to bore people here.
Eleven more weeks of working a job I've grown to hate because it pays the bills. Eleven. More. Weeks.
On the bright side, realizing how agonizing it is to do something I don't enjoy 40-50 hours a week has made me extremely grateful that I'm pursuing something that I love. Not many people are as fortunate as we are.
Same! I plan to quit around the first week of July, I cannot wait!
And yes we are very fortunate, idk how some people do it day in and day out for years.
+1 I'm even taking 3 weeks off in June 😛 Figured I should just use my vacation days and enjoy my time in the bay! Sadly no big plans though. no money to spare
I had my first pickle back last week. It wasn't nearly as disgusting as I thought it sounded.
like pickled cucumber?
Like... whiskey chased by pickle juice.

So Gueros probably going to hate this song, but I just thought I'd leave it here to see if Strange would like it. It doesn't hurt that shes real pretty either 😛
The second week of June for this guy!! Then I get to spend the next 4 weeks stuffing my face with all of San Francisco's delicious food and drink!![]()
Is this country!? I thought you were cool goobs...![]()
this I have not done... sounds interesting
Is that really a thing?
I don't think there's any musical genre as polarizing as country.

I didn't used to like country. Then I moved to where there was a lot of country music stations... and you know, it's kinda catchy.
Done with work after 1st week in June! But before that I have to finish my project, write a couple of reports and pack 🙁 I don't like moving... Why can't we just have temporary black holes?
I don't think there's any musical genre as terrible as country.

Nice and good luck! My original plan to finish the first week of August but my boss convinced me to stay till the 14th.
Wow, what school are you going to that starts that late?😱
'Twas an accurate presumption. So Gueros probably going to hate this song, but I just thought I'd leave it here to see if Strange would like it. It doesn't hurt that shes real pretty either 😛
