I really liked that. It makes me feel a lot less afraid of medical school, especially about the clinical years. Those years look sort of like just another day in my life. Peds would be the only area that I'd think I'd kind of flop. I really used to like it when I would get to answer questions with the medical students when I was a paramedic student when they would be in the ER. It was cool to be a teenager and answer medical school questions back then.

Even the first and second years didn't look that bad. I mean, duh, kidney. We'll see, though. I have a habit of sticking my foot in mouth. I don't want to wear a white coat, though. It gets old after a while, and they get dirty so fast. I barely wear mine at work anymore.

That video really put becoming a doctor into perspective. The studying looked intimidating but that comes with the territory. It got me excited for med school even though I'm so far off. Thanks for sharing btw.

I really like the facilities at that med school. I visited a medical school when I was in high school, and it wasn't nearly as cool. Maybe, that's because I'm old as dirt now. lol
 
Today we practiced the ancient art of blood letting on this dude with an H/H of 21 and 60. I thought that the ER physician was joking. Haha! Don't ask me how they did it, but I guess another dude just had two ET tubes (one for each lung and each having their separate vent) after being shot. Crazy week.

The last thrill of the day was hunting down a JP bulb for an OBN/GYN who was in the middle of doing a surgery. I guess they don't have those up in OB. I got to go grocery shopping in the OR stock room with no one around. Loved it. I never get to go over there.
 
Ugh...so tired 🙁 Now I really need a vacation.
 
I knew I saw you tman. You're the only other person who goes invisible in this thread. Some snacks can give you a lift. Cake does wonders (see if there is a coffee flavored cake in a nearby bakery).

You just have a more realistic image of medical schools now Studyshy. You're still young 🙂

If I do even one more chart review today my head will explode all over the computer monitor. I'm serious. Wishing that I could take a nap for just a short while.

Haha, you figured me out 😛 I'm usually around doing practice or something. I actually don't drink any coffee, so the I'm not a big fan of coffee cake =/ I'll probably live on coffee if I get into med school :laugh:

Yes em. This picture was a joke a while back when we photoshopped everyone in the ER's face into different vintage pictures. My breasts are way bigger than those IRL. Haha!

:laugh: That explains the long hours and being tired. Nurses have a lot of work to do 🙁

It's just a flavor. I don't think there's caffeine or anything. Similar to how some people like their chocolate cake covered with fudge. Gotta try it before you say you won't like it 😀

I've actually tried coffee cake before. I don't like the texture. It feels like there's sand in my mouth :meanie:

Haha! 12-hour days really turn more into 13 or 14-hour days. 🙁 Just now getting home from work but I also had to drop off supplies for the food kitchen that my manager has the hospital volunteer with.

I'm waiting for my balloons to arrive. They are ordered from Amazon. I'll post pictures when I figure out the basics. I think that my kids are going to go crazy over them. If I get good enough, I'll ask if I can visit the peds ER and make some kids some animals.

My kids like sand in the mouth. My daughter will put her whole face in the sand. They'll even poop sand if I take them to the pond.
