Yeah they've been in upstate NY for ages too (and upstate NY isn't exactly the hippest/trendiest place ever, lol).

Hahahha CaliGirl, don't be too disappointed when I fail your expectations on my eral MCAT 👎thumbdown

And this hurricane business is totally bizarre, yo.

I know...who asked for a hurricane anyway? :scared:

😍😍

I did. They delivered it to the wrong place though...sorry! Ill make sure to be more clear on my delivery instructions next time!

Aww, Tots...you gotta be more clear with that writing! :meanie:

how much gen chem 2 is in ochem? lol i asked this multiple times

I skipped genchem 2 and my ochem prof today was talking about how she's not going to review the gen chem because she expects us to know obviously. And Acids and bases isnt until later on.

just curious.

So far today we just did line bond drawings, formal charge, and a little resonance etc.

Well....I am sure it helps conceptually to have the background from Gchem but most likely they will teach you everything you need to know for Ochem. When I learned stuff like kinetics and acids and bases in Gchem it was very quantitatively then when it came up in Ochem it was very conceptual. I really didn't rely on my gchem knowledge and instead just relearned in in a new context. I actually use my ochem knowledge to solve MCAT gchem problems all the time 😀

Gchem2 is gonna be really important for the MCAT, though.

I hated the beginning of physics. Too much concentration on vectors and trig. It was review for me at the same time since we went over that kinda stuff in my calc class. My prof went way too fast at the beginning, though. He covered the first 10 chaps in the first month...First test was devastating with that much material covered 😡

Ugh, I'm so frightened. The first chapter was just like, pure vector math/trig, no science. 👎 My book seems pretty calc based too, even though I'm supposedly in the less-calc based section. :scared:

👍 I'm probably a total weirdo, but g.chem has been my favorite pre-req so far. Easy calculations, and fun/interesting concepts behind them. Mostly. I hated crystal field theory at the end of g.chem II, made no sense. :scared: I haven't minded o-chem or bio terribly either though. (Hated plants in bio, and the end of o-chem II when things got so cumulative I couldn't keep track of it all, but otherwise OK. Oh, and NMR. Wtf with NMR.) So I've probably had a miserable time with physics coming haha.

Dude....that is the easy part all the way up to newtons law is easy but for me it got kinda iffy when rotational kinematics came in. But then again the only reason why it was sorta difficult is because my prof only gave me formulas and didn't show how to work them.........

if your getting kinda scared at first go look up freelance physics on youtube he teaches very well esp for physics. Teaches slow but gets the idea across.

also the book
"physics for the utterly confused" is really good im using it as a supplement, you can get it for a few bucks on amazon.

That blows. Rotational kinematics is really weird because you've never been exposed to those concepts before. Like Newton's laws are indoctrinated into you from middle school, yet no one mentions rotational kinematics until you get to real physics.

yea and on top of that someone life me not taking it in high school. 👎 lmao

You can do it 👍

But the secret to rotational problems is that they are just like linear problems with different weird characters in them. 😀

E&M is the most fun topic in physics. The problems are pretty and the math is fun. Right hand rule for life. Throw your physics gang signs 😀

👍👍(This ones for the right hand rule 👍)

Made $400 at the casino tonight!!!!111

Guys seriously, I think I really beat roulette. This is the third time I am going there and returning with profit 🙂

Just totally reviewed the CRAP out of the cardiovascular system. Too bad it's still kind of confusing... capillaries especially. Hydrostatic pressure, osmotic pressure. Gah. It's really fascinating, but the MCAT actually expects you to have a pretty good grasp of a lot of it. I stopped at the lymphatic system, though, because everything stopped making sense and I was like, HUH?!?!?!?!

I HAVE SO MUCH CONTENT REVIEW LEFT TO DO AHHH OMG FREAKOUTTIMEFORKANGAROOPAW. 😱😱😱😱

Anyway, I totally sat my dad down and made him explain the shizzle out of capillaries. I was like, YO DAD, explain these things. What's interstitial fluid. Still don't get it. Okay, now I get it. Okay, wtf are veins. Okay cool. Explain alveolar gas exchange. WAIT NVM let me explain it to you. 2 hours later I let him go. My poor father 🙁
