After my soph year in high school i dual enrolled at my local community college. I was suppose to stay there for two years and get my high school diploma and associates degree simultaneously. But....I ended up getting all that in one year.

I entered at 16, got my associates in 1 year, now I'm a transfer student at my local university with junior status. I'm about to turn 18 tho on sep 9th! 👍

It'll be a lot easier for you to get into a UT school because of your in state status compared to other schools, so that's a plus.

Wait.... seriously? I call my dad every day from college and tell him my STUDY PLAN for all of my classes. I ask him his opinion of it, he tells me, I usually ignore it (haha), and go off to study. I also usually tell him what I learned in class that day, what kind of homework assignments I had, what kind of reading I had to do for classes, what interesting conversations I had with friends, every conversation I have with professors, even what kind of social interactions I'd had that day. Basically, he's appraised of every important/less important happening that occurs every day at school 😱 I'm surprised that he even cares about it all, but he's always really interested! Probably he's a science nerd like me, so it's interesting for him too.

Wow, I guess I really lucked out in terms of my parents. They're really supportive of my medical aspirations, and I share with them all of my homework assignment grades, problem set grades, test grades, projected test grades, worries about failed test grades...

Nah my dad is very supportive, I know it might sound like he's controlling--he's totally the opposite. But he's just really trying to support me and I honestly believe every parent should be on top of their kid while they're in school. Because there's a lot of kids failing their classes wasting their parents money, but then again its the parents fault for not even checking on their own kid, the only thing they care about is that their kid left the house finally.
