recovering... i fell ill this past semester and had to be hospitalized so i took some time off to get well 🙁. I'm good now though so i'm preparing for a hard summer of classes👎. Congrats on graduating in a few weeks, proud of you man! Do you know the schools you want to apply to yet?
 
Class of 2017, all of us should be working our asses off right now. Go!

Ah sorry to hear about your hospitalization man! Hope you feel better! Are you still applying this year? And yeah I have my list almost finalized...it is huge though haha

Yea man it really sucked but thanks i'm doing a lot better 🙂. I'm not sure if i'm still applying this year. I'm short two pre-reqs now because i took time off getting better 😡. My stats are still really good though.

Lol I bet that list is huge. I made a list before i got sick because i got..well.. excited 🙄 lol and i had like 30 schools ... after VERY CAREFUL EVALUATION AND LONG COUNTLESS NIGHTS RESEARCHING SCHOOLS I CUT MY LIST DOWN TO 29 SCHOOLS...LOL

I'm glad you feel better! I have one more pre-req and I'm taking it next semester at a community college (I'm graduating in a week). I'm sure you can still apply and take those two pre-requisites next semester. 🙂

Haha omg you sound just like me! I sit down and am like: "I will cut schools!" and then after hours of consideration I leave with more schools than I started with.

Hey BurntFlower thank you🙂 congrats on you graduating in a week👍 Hmm.. you don't think its risky applying without two prereqs done especially considering the large number of schools I want to apply to? I know one is no big deal but I guess just don't want to waste so much money and then be at a disadvantage later on.. Either way, I'll shoot LizzyM a msg and check to see if its too risky. I appreciate the advice🙂

I don't think it's risky,. I'm missing one pre-req which I will take next semester and I don't think that will be a problem. But yeah, I'm sure LizzyM will know more about this than either of us two. I hope you keep us updated on what she says!
 
Will do. I got a 33Q, my highest practice test though was a 30 so I'm pumped right now. Will do!

I think the scariest for me is that I have 30 schools but want more, but it would be too much money to do that

Haha I had such a hard time cutting it down to 30....that I think I am going to have 35!

On a side note, you guys I finally got around to doing more research but it is nothing remarkable. There will be no posters or pubs from me. If I do decide to apply, some of the schools on my list are sort of "research heavy schools." I know average mcat is like a 35 or 36 at some of these schools. I have just below that with basically little research, you guys think its pointless to apply to a lot of these schools?
 
I think I probably will submit without my letters I am only missing one though
 
My letter-writers have submitted them to my school's letter service but that has not received them yet

Same. I still haven't received my spring grades back and two of my professors still haven't sent their letters of recommendation yet.

Spring Grades Finally posted. Sending in transcripts tomorrow
Have PhD, MD, and Supervisor letter on file. Other 2 science letters should be sent in pretty soon.
The only thing I'm worried about is the MCAT of course.

Yeah, I'm really happy that people are so upbeat here. It really helps calm my anxieties for a bit.
