Amen to that if you mean they are too little.
That's why my work/activities is taking forever because I keep trying to fix things but then inevitably it will erase like 3 characters
 
PS is so hard. I'm just striving for mediocrity right now haha. I don't want to end up in the "terrible" pile.

I feel like I'm so far behind from all of you guys...I haven't even entered my Activities or anything!
 
For me it was lucky I had one day when I woke and just finished and now I am just polishing more and more
Only other thing thats a bummer is no letters yet but I plan to submit without

Yup - this entire process is an exercise in writing succintly - I keep coming up with new points to make but it just won't fit 🙄

Plus being at a quarter school bites - I have one more week of classes..THEN finals week. I'm really glad I started the moment the AMCAS opened, because otherwise I'd be stressing out BIG TIME.

How far is everyone?
 
Yay quarter system! Yay not getting grades until ages after the submit date! Just. Yay.
I left the fun part for last, writing out my most meaningfuls. I'm not sure if I tell a story of a specific moment (or two) or just say it was meaningful 'in general'. And somehow fit it all in that box. Ugh.
Other then that it's LORs and transcripts. Which I have no control over.
Oh and I just started the DO version of this mess so I'm trying to cut down my perfectly 5300 character PS by 2 paragraphs. Lovin' it!

Yeah, altering your AMCAS PS for AACOMAS blows. I'm still trying to do that, too. Since I'm still waitlisted for the c/o 2016, I think I'm actually going to hold off until mid June before I finish my minor AMCAS edits from last year and complete the rest of AACOMAS and TMDSAS, submitting around early July. I figure I could save a lot of money by waiting.
 
I was originally going to apply here, but was told to wait a year to build up my EC's.

But I love you guys so much I'm going to apply for 2017 anyways. Or because im stubborn.
 
I'm having a lot of trouble studying for the MCAT. My house is hot. I wish we had air conditioning. I'm gonna get a 2 on it. I hate this stupid exam. 🙁 /complain
 
Okay, AMCAS is officially finished on my end. I even had all of my LORs marked as received today. Man, I wish I actually needed to submit June 5th. I feel ripped off, lol. (I'm saving money by waiting until mid-late June to submit in case I get accepted from my last WL spot.) GL to those of you still working on this beast!
 
TMDSAS + its secondaries completed, waiting on one more transcript and then more hurry up and waiting. About halfway through my AMCAS stuff as well.

What would everybody consider your top three lower-tier MD schools? As in, the three you feel most confident in getting acceptance to with your stats?

Mine: Creighton, EVMS, Saint Louis U (I'm a CO resident)
 
Still waiting on them to process one of my transcripts, but I'm submitting today anyway. I've looked over this thing more times than I thought possible.
 
Submitted TMDSAS on 6/1 and now submitting AMCAS after work today.:scared:

Yeehaw, glad you got through the semester! I'm pretty much done with AMCAS. I might rework one of my most meaningfuls later today, and then pull the trigger. I'm only sending it to one school for now though, because I have no idea what my MCAT score will be, and I'm waiting for FAP approval. @_@

I haven't submitted yet, but I believe that the earliest that primary applications will be sent to medical schools by aamcas is June 29. Therefore, I don't believe anyone will receive secondaries until then. I could be way off, though.

Agreed, the earliest I've heard of is the first week in July. TMDSAS schools typically get the process rolling much earlier.

I just had write out somewhere that I'm still working on my personal statement. And then I still have to re-hash my work & activities section completely and write my "most meaningful" essays. I can't believe they're taking so long!! God-willing, will submit mid-June!

edit: 46 characters above limit! so cloooose...

I submitted today!!! I plan on starting the pre-write of my secondaries this weekend.

This thread completely disappeared for a while, you can tell it's our year to apply lol. Since I've gone off FB, haven't heard updates from you guys :/ How are the people who've already submitted? I'm just waiting for my transcripts next week, hopefully helped my gpa a lot 🙂

Submitted today. I know my school sent out my transcripts on the 18th, so hopefully they get it to quickly!

Glad to get it done and out, as I leave Saturday for France, where I'll be studying abroad for a month. Excited and just a little bit scared!

Missing LORs, low clinical volunteering, low shadowing. Plus I'm working on two papers that'll be submitted this fall. So basically I want to work on ECs more and not rush my app.
