I'd take 10 of them if I meant I can get rid of the spinal headaches. Lol.

Now I'm stuck in bed still and there is nothing on TV. Haha. I'm just cruising the forums now.

Glad to hear you're doing better and that it was just myositis. And LoL @ the "Don't do it!" part. I've gotten that so much through the past few years. I think it's more of a hazing ritual than a genuine desire to dissuade considering how many times I've gotten that and "Just go NP." 🙂

My family pushed me to be a NP... I just couldn't do it. When my acceptance came I'm the mail, I took great pleasure I showing it off to those who said I couldn't do it. Admittedly, there were very few who said I couldn't, but it still felt pretty good. Lol

I know how you feel: My soon to be ex pushed me into NP. I applied, got into a top 10 school, and was just so unhappy with the prospect that I declined and pursued medicine instead. And now look at me, accepted and amidst a divorce (albeit amicable, thankfully). I'm so glad I had the head on my shoulders to know I would've been unhappy as a mid-level. Congrats on being able to prove those unfaithful wrong! 🙂

Temperature is up but it's been raining all day - my Toms got owned again, consequently 😛 Was in a hurry to get to my exam!

Doesn't help that we might have a Tornado warning all of tonight and I don't think I'll be heading home until around 10. Le sigh, at least my exam was easy!

I prefer the original, but that's the one I grew up with, so it brings back fond memories.

It took about 3 days for the headaches from my LP to fully stop and I spent 2 in bed (but I didn't get a blood patch)

The worst part for me was I had an application to finish which I had to do in the ED. I'm pretty sure my doctor thought I was crazy for that.

Thanks for asking.

Thankfully, today they stopped. I got the patch last night. I'm sore from the straw-sized needle. Lol.

As soon as I recover, I'm taking a vacation! Lol

Jeeze, you too magicm? Man, I feel for both you. I hope I never, ever have to undergo an LP. I've many tattoos and have had several painful piercings, but the mere thought of an LP gives me goosebumps.

mine was back in Sept/oct (one of the two). All better now I think.

It took the doc a few tries So he ended up numbing up my entire back didn't really feel the needle going in by the time they got it.

It was an interesting experience. Thankfully I have a high pain tolerance

ugh this exchange with my room mate rustled my jimmies. Heres a condensed version of what we talked about:

him:man I got a 27 on my MCAT, should I retake it? I have a 3.5

me: hmm if I were you I would definitely retake that and try to get over a 30. I can give you some help studying if you want

him: hmm but its my last semester as a senior and I just want to chill...I don't want to have to study for the MCAT again.

me: yea but it would be risky to apply with a 27...besides, you would be sacrificing 3 months of 'chill time' for years of success.

him: I'll think about it...still not sure...maybe I'll just apply with my 27...I am hispanic after all, don't we get into med school with lower stats anyways?

me: yeah but I don't know how much that will help..

him: oh well I think I'll just apply with what I have and hope that being a minority gets me in! Thanks man! *walks out*

me: 😕 😡 :lame: :smack:

He's a really good friend of mine, but come on...why ask me for advice if you're just gonna do that lol
