Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So jealous :meanie:....but seriously congrats!
Btw, Tots, if for some reason you decide to attend Vandy, I'm always here as a resource. I'm familiar with pretty much everything about the school, including all of the clinical aspects (e.g., StarPanel, faculty, VA, CPRS, etc.). Just PM me if you ever want to talk.

Interviewing at my top choice on Monday. Hope it works out.

"Nipping it in the butt." -My pops

Seriously, my boss said this completely seriously to me on the phone once and I just about lost it.

Also, language nerd alert - this is part of a whole hilarious phenomenon where one word is misheard as another (check out http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/). There are a bunch of funny ones, but the one that beats them all is "Sarah Palin and her elk."

Oh man that's funny! "Sarah Palin and her elk"?

Maybe we will all be there!
I could go for that. 😀
It's entirely possible. Some of the people I've talked to on SDN I found out later I had chatted with at the same Med school interviews.

Disneyland was great today! I was a little disappointed with the weather (overcast, misty, and chilly) but I think the crowds were lessened due to it.

LoL, I think that one is more common because of the elk in AK.
Man that was pretty funny. Well just chock it up to relying too much on spell-check. Lol
Indeed.

Dude (no pun intended), that's the best time to go: a school day when the weather is meh.

My face when the professor starts on a tangent about his own research

If I could care less about his lame research, I would.

Who hasn't started studying for tomorrow's pharmacology exam yet? This guy.

I also have a pharmacology exam that I haven't really studied for yet. Except its a take home exam that we get tomorrow. I've got lots of reading to catch up on and like a billion drugs to study for. Except we have more drugs to study than we have questions on the exam :bang::boom:

What is this "take home exam" that you speak of?

oh well, every once in a while, you stumble upon a class whose professor is just eccentric enough to let their students take online quizzes and exams we can take in the comfort of our own homes. These exams aren't just any old multiple choice exams no, for the professor decides that if we're going to get the chance use notes and our textbook while taking the exam, this exam should be filled with short answer and essay questions.

And that, my friend, is the take home exam.

+1

F-U take homes. I loathed those bastards.

Also, anyone from Boston here?

The majority of my exams were take homes. Some were open book, some were closed. Honor Code, FTW.

Oh, and happy hump day everyone .

My take home exams were usually much harder that the in-class ones. Also my type-A personality would afford little sleep during days when I was working on the take home exams... fun times.

That moment when you walk into work after an ophthalmologist appt with huge pupils and wait to see how your coworkers react when they think you're on drugs...

😛
