Calculating loans is so depressing. I am going to be in so much debt for the rest of my life...haha. 🙁![]()
Wow, that was a bit drastic, don't-cha think? I was thinking something more along the lines ofDamn, I got grammar slammed.
. . .

Yup. I was so excited after my first acceptance and then became quiet anxious about loans 🙁 I wish I knew the financial aid packages of each school right now instead of having to wait... oh well.
I got one of the packages this morning(hence my worrying). And it is from probably the cheapest school I was accepted to when all things are considered. Yet still....🙁![]()
My parents mailed in their tax returns.. So......... I have to wait the time for the IRS to get them and process them before it can be transferred over to FAFSA. Ugh.
5 more months of my job.. 5 more months argh.
I didn't transfer it over. I just typed the numbers in. Even if your parents submit their taxes electronically it takes >3 weeks before you can import it into FAFSA.
I put in my 2 weeks today......![]()
3 more days for me![]()
Do you guys know what time it is? Girl Scout Cookie time. I should probably feel worse about consuming an extra thousand calories of chocolaty goodness a day than I do. Blinded by thin mint-induced euphoria.

+1 can't give up these pay checks.
One of my school's financial aid papers said that it is required for students to use the IRS retrieval tool.

Yeah, I'm jelly, too. But I feel ya MedPR: I have 4 months left, not quite 5, but it seems we're pulling the long haul, eh?
Yeah I jelly. What are you guys going to do until school?
X-Force = 👎; X-Men =![]()
Travel! I have my first trip coming up to explore the East Coast right after my interview next Friday 🙂
False to both, especially X-Force.
I've heard that Ecuatorianos use syropa for syrup. I don't think Mexicanos have different words for syrup or honey. I think we say miel de abeja or miel de maple. It gets confusing when you just say miel which is what I usually say.
Yeah, always a good call. I'm not quitting until the end of may, but I'll be doing the same thing.
Perhaps y'all could help me pick a destination. I'll have 2-4 weeks.
I don't have much interest in EU due to past travels and cost. I have already been to Morocco, India, and Nepal. I'm thinking either somewhere in South/central America (would love to backpack Patagonia but not sure about the weather that time of year) or SE Asia (Thailand + Vietnam + Cambodia [would kill to do Bhutan or Tibet but probably don't have the cash and patience to get requisite guide or permits, respectively]). I've also always wanted to visit sub-Saharan Africa and Mongolia...
Any suggestions from past travels?
You know what sucks ladies and gents? If I get my top choice, the only situation in which this applies, my long laid plans for pre-matriculation transcontinental travel, several countries (including Holland), all fall through. I'll have to spend all my savings on the move and settle... But all in all, that's a good trade... Right?

Would you be traveling alone? Surely you've gone to those countries mentioned with people you knew?
Totally worth it! If I get into my top choice my dreams of the East Coast are gone, but whatever!
X-Force is an awesome comic, especially its recent run (the one that introduced Evan/Genesis, and includes the Dark Angel Saga). You should read it.
Cannot stop laughing.

Rural China was absolutely gorgeous and awesome. Spent Christmas here one year(this doesn't even do the size/scale of all the rice paddies justice):
