All of my background in research/shadowing has been in neurosx and I love it. So as of right now that would be it, but I want to go in with an open mind.

I can see it now: Block all distracting websites on my computer. Work for 5 mins, try to go onto a distracting website. Get frustrated, close laptop and surf internet on phone. Procrastinate for hours.

You could always get your roommate to password-lock your phone for you. Assuming you trust them to unlock it later.

ok but really, I'm turning my facebook/SDN blocker back on.
 
I'm not even in med school yet and I'm already getting phone calls from relatives asking "is this serious? should we go to a doctor or just treat it at home?" 😱
