Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What do you guys think? Think C/O 2018 will be able to top the cole drama from last Thanksgiving this cycle?

Absolutely not.

Also, I figured that since I've already done about 100 pages of reading and writing papers as homework, and I start school Monday, I should officially change my status to "medical student"...... it has begun hahaha

All moved into Rochester! Can't wait to start orientation on Monday

Random rant: SDN culture seems to hold that you can't change your status to "medical student" too early the summer before or people get all upset. Umm, you're basically a medical student at that point. 😕 I'm about to go do it out of protest even though I don't start school for another couple weeks. haha

Anyway, good luck! 😀

Meh. We're nothings until we actually start class. I'm okay with that.

I'm changing my status to med student when I start orientation; I'm not waiting until the first day of classes.

I've already had to fill out paper work and do HIPAA stuff. That counts. <_<

I hope so. Goodness that was juicy.

Oh yeah. Unfortunately...

That's why I eventually stuck to school specific threads and ones where people who actually knew what they were talking about. Pre-allo tends to be one bug c*rclejerk where the blind are leading the blind.

Meanwhile, you can't post in the Allo forums without someone pointing out that you're still a premed who is absolutely ignorant, and how dare you change your status to med student so soon.

We should really lay off those premeds in Pre-Allo. We're just as silly in the Allo forums-- I see so many people posting ridiculous stuff there,

Went with an M3 friend to have my First Aid book unbound and put in a binder. He's giving me all his secrets for being ready for day one, including setting up a schedule so I don't fall off the wagon for exercise and fun time. Too bad he's moving off for his rotations. He is a big help to me. :-/

Meanwhile, I've been drinking every other day...

Any other tips?

Why the binder?

You mean you haven't started UWorld questions yet?

Why the binder?

He showed me his. I put dividers between each section and I can place important notes and study tools in with it from classes. This way, I end up with only one source for board study. Plus, it lays flat which is easier to write in.

Wow, great tip! I ought to try that; I'm also planning to annotate a copy of FA during first and second years.

Amazon link me this book. I feel like if I look at it and consider buying it, I won't feel as lazy... 😉

Haha! I haven't done a damn thing in the past month, but I did look at a copy of first aid 2013 on amazon. I think we are the ones doing it right brother.

I have Amazon credit, so I went ahead and bought it... With Super Saver Shipping!

I actually have a friend that is an MS2 that highly recommended it to follow along with the curriculum. I will probably end up buying it soon as well. It was pretty cheap last time I checked like 30 bucks or so.

Damn dude! I may have to steal that set up. I'm not gunning either, family med here. At least for now, I'm not naive enough to think that might not change.

Go for it! Lol. Kinko's and Office Depot. Set up cost less than $20.

As I go through classes I make a study guide that, in the end, is condensed and I print it out to study. Will do that here with my classes and keep the study guides in the binder as well. I think I saw somewhere on SDN about mixing in goljan, but I'm too lazy. Lol.
