Medical school debt repayment calculators make me sad. 🙁

Anyone working during their time off? I'm trying to get published before starting med school but I hope I don't regret spending my time working instead of having fun

Edit: I only work half the week and spend the other half doing fun things

I shall be working til June 30th as that makes the most sense for my job. I'll need to train the next person for my clients and that's when the summer schedule starts. Only gives me a month of free time if Davis is where I end up, but its best I think for my work. I'm gonna miss that place.

Sounds like a reasonable schedule with some relaxation time. Good luck with the potential future publication.

I'm probably going to work until August 1. If I do end up matriculating at UW, I'd start August 18, so I would have a couple weeks to chill (though I'll probably still be writing during that time anyway 🙄)

Have you heard anything from UCLA yet? Good luck in the upcoming weeks if you haven't yet 👍

I'm working at my lab until the middle of June then I am out of there. I am starting to hate research, my boss has been making me repeat the same boring ass experiment for 3 months. Hopefully I get a PI I like more in medical school.

Luckily the middle of June is only about 5 weeks away!

I'm not sure when I'll quit. I guess it depends on what school I end up attending. The school I'm in at starts 7/30, while my waitlists start in late august or even September. If I don't have any luck with waitlists, I'll probably quit at the beginning of july. I really wish I could quit now, but the money is too good.

They have this unofficial waitlist thing where if you've interviewed you're kept on the list until school starts and then given a formal reject letter. Crazy, but I'm finally gonna send in an update letter since its getting to that time of year: Waitlist movement season!

:hello: goodbye and best of luck to the class of '18. May everyone succeed beyond their wildest dreams :claps:

Sooooo... Is it Tri-I or WashU? Hopefully the latter so we can be classmates, assuming some type of divine intervention happens in the next week and I somehow get off WashU's 800 person waitlist.

Also, middle of the second page bump. Smh c/o 2018.

Seriously, it's class of 2018, Not class of the app season to get into the class of 2018. All the other class threads before us kept up even during the school year. Let's step our game up.
