I live in f****** Nebraska Not too many gunners here. Just guns

UNL actually has a pretty cool undergrad research program, UCARE. It gives you your own research opportunity your sophmore/junior year. It's kinda constricting though...you have to finish up in 2 years. Not sure how effective it really is.

Nebraska has a medical school? Only partially kidding. I'm blessed with Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, and ECU, plus all the stuff in the Research Triangle. I love me some NC

Haha what have we done that's so great? I keep reminding myself that we're in the small small minority who plan this much in advance...and it took 3 states all across the continental US to find us 🙂

I lived in Texas two years when I was very young. I have never been the same.

As an older and more rational person, you have no idea how much Texas scares me. And the cockroaches. I still have nightmares about those.

But their med schools look nice...hard to get into out of state though 🙁

As far as the minority, I simply meant that there's no way average freshman pre-med already has a research position (ElCapone), a hospital position in the surgery department (me), and 1000 hours with the American Cancer Society (CaliGirl)

Week 1? I can't believe you guys just started. Friday marked the 4th week of me being in college. We're on to evolution in Bio, periodic table in Chem (already did significant figures and all that jazz), and in Calc we've done limits and derivatives and have an exam on Wednesday . I ABHOR math as well.
