Yeah that's ridiculous.
 
I am glad that you guys agree that he was kind of out of line. The reason why he took it so personally was because it was a major that I had created by compiling a variety of courses and petitioning the school to let me pursue. He submitted the paperwork for me and gave me suggestions, so it was a bit more work than a normal major, but still. I don't think it's fair for him to get mad at me for changing my mind. Oh well.

On the bright side, since I dropped a class, I was hired to scribe!!!!!!! 🙂

Venom, I'm also curious about your rehab sci student status!
 
I've decided that medicine isn't for me, rehab sounds like a much better deal financially. I'll have more free time for myself this way too.

What kind of degree does one pursue with a rehab career? Physical therapy, occupational therapy?

I'm sorry to hear you had an unpleasant run in with your advisor. Out of curiousity, what was the major that you created? That sounds pretty interesting.

Congrats on your scribing! I bet you will enjoy that this semester.

My first week of classes has progressed well. I am actually kinda/sorta looking forward to Plant Form & Function... 😀

I'm technically supposed to be in the 2019 thread, but I liked 2016 more. 😛 I joined 2017 and 2018 because of "rivalry" with MedPR and SilentSoldier

Lol, I'm taking CogPsych, emphasis is more on the psychology than neurosci, this semester. Probably the only class I'll end up liking too. My schedule consists of boring basics since my advisor told me med schools don't really favor AP credit, so I'm stuck in basic bio, chem, and phys again 🙁.


Anyway, have any of you started research? I'm in communication with a professor about that now, I'm just afraid my lower GPA may prevent me from getting the position. 🙁
