Yea, it was quite expensive, but I am just hoping I get in somewhere. I would rather not spend the rest of my life as a high school teacher. LOL :) But my top 4 choices are UAB, SCO, NOVA, and ICO. My stats aren't bad, but they are nowhere near fantastic.

Does OSU take Canadians?

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to acceptance data over the past few years they have not admitted any international students (which I assume includes Canadians).

According to the admissions office, the reason is that international students are not able to get in-state tuition after the first year, so they would end up paying an additional $21,000 per year for all 4 years. It's not that international students aren't able to be accepted, it's just not likely that an international student would want to pay that much extra when they can choose a private school.

I have an osu interview. I am hoping I get a scholarship with my stats. It's a shame it's costs so much.

Good luck! You will get a chance to talk to the director of financial aid at your interview day, but I believe that he said that they gave out around 30 scholarships to their incoming class, in the $2-8,000 range. Scholarships are also earned each year, so after the first year the only thing that really matters is how well you do in the program.

SCO told me that my OAT was low, I should retake it, and they will look at my application later on. That made me sad. They sent me the email before I got any of these interview invites.

Were any of your sections below 300? That might be why.

Are you going to retake it?

What was the interview like at SCO?

What was the interview like at SCO?
My interview was very laid-back and conversational. They didn't ask any questions that were too hard to answer, and most of them were the basic questions you see over and over again on these threads! I was only asked about 7-8 questions, and my interview lasted 50 minutes.

Hey! Would you mind sharing what the supplemental application for ICO consists of this year?

Hey! Would you mind sharing what the supplemental application for ICO consists of this year?
Sure. The first part is general information about you. Next, is an essay about the most challenging semester that you have experienced. Lastly, there is a section among about your relatives and legacy. There is also a pre-requisite worksheet that needs to be filled out.

Still working on my application:
What is still considered early application?
OAT Scores: 300 AA 290 TS
Major: Biology
GPA: 3.7 Cumulative 3.0 Science
Any input on stats? Thinking of retaking the oat.

I would say early is considered July or August. Your overall GPA is great, I would recommend maybe retaking the OAT. But if you have really good extracurriculars and LORs then you can get an interview and acceptance with your current stats. Good luck :)
