Can I just say that so far, I am very encouraged by the lack of OOS people for Iowa, and Kansas! 👍

I hope all you people that were accepted there HATED both of those schools and choose to go elsewhere 🙂

Yay! Congrats Blackat! Let me know when you start looking for apartments, etc. The pup and I walk all over W. Philly (if you want to live over here), so I have a pretty good idea of where (at least I) would be okay with, and where I wouldn't. It can be very block-by-block, so I'd be more than happy to walk over and check out any potential spots' location.

When a school offers acceptance what do you do immediately in response if you are waiting for status on other schools??? Do you have to respond immediately "thank you, and I will let you know"......or is there a date for which you have to let them know by??? And not hearing from me (whether it be yes or no) until such a date is acceptable. I want to respond thank you but I am waiting for status on two others.....Do I need to respond just yet. Help?!

I believe the date they need to have your deposit and decision by is April 15th. Until then, I don't think you really need to do anything. You can thank them for the acceptance though. Mentioning the part about waiting on two more schools is up to you.

as i'm sure you know you don't have to respond in any way to an acceptance from a VMCAS school until april 15th. however, if you really want to send a little thank you e-mail i don't think there's anything wrong with that ("thank you so much, i'm still waiting to hear from a few other schools but am interested in your offer and will let you know as soon as i have made my decision, etc" - if doing this will make you feel better i don't see any problem with it, but it definitely is not necessary). schools know that most applicants are waiting on decisions from other schools, so if they don't hear anything from you (before april 15th) after accepting you it's not like they're going to think "wtf?! guess he/she isn't interested..."
