So my first year of college I got bored with English 101 so I took the CLEP test and got out of it. Now when I go to put this into PharmCAS, it appears I need a score. I have no idea what I got, I only know that I scored high enough for credit. Apparently my CC doesn't keep any scores so I'll have to contact the College Board who gives the test. When I went to their website, the only link I could find regarding scores is to request a transcript. Now, should I send this transcript to pharmCAS as proof of my score or can I just mail it to me to find out what the score is? It costs $20 a pop so I'd feel really stupid if I received it only to have to pay to send another one to PharmCAS. I know CLEP credits don't count towards GPA so really, what's the point?

Yes, you need a CLEP score on PharmCAS. You don't need to send it to PharmCAS, though. Just request your score from CollegeBoard and put your score in the required spot. When you took your CLEP test, did you not get a copy of your score? I did. And I honestly do not see any point in requiring a score. They don't even verify it, and it does not count toward your GPA, PharmCAS or otherwise.

so in theory I could just guess a number and put that down? (don't know how comfortable I feel about that actually). I may have received a score at the time, I don't remember. I know most CLEP tests you get the score right then and there but because I did the English Comp one I had to wait. At the time I only cared that I scored high enough for credit, so at least I got a 50%. Ugh, I'm just mad that I have to pay for a stupid score that doesn't even matter.

I took the CLEP exam for College Algebra and received a printout of my score immediately after I took my exam. So I went to my school to double check to see if anything is on my record. They just flat out said no. Then when it was time to apply for graduation, the advisor told me that I didn't take college algebra. He just told me to make a copy of my score sheet, and he'll approve it. So now I have a bunch of copies of my score sheet, just in case I need to provide a copy to the pharm schools I'm applying to.

I guess in your case, you lost your score sheet. I think you should just send the transcript to yourself and then bring the original to your interviews and provide them with copies if necessary.
