A few of my classmates and I will be participating in a trial program this summer where we actually assist an assigned fourth year "mentor". We are allowed to do anything we have already covered in operative and, as we learn more stuff we can do more stuff. If this works out, it will begin to be offered to more D1s -- Dr. Wolff's stated goal is to have every D1 assisting in the clinic. As far as I know, not too many other schools (any others?) let D1s prep on real patients. That, coupled with the insane patient population puts NYU at the top of this list as far as I'm concerned...
