Hello everyone, I'm still in med school and I've read on clinical audits and how different they are compared to research. I've asked around and having a publication prior to graduating seems to be the norm these days and I'd just like to know if performing a clinical audit would be any different. I was offered an invitation to perform one of these audits with my university's research faculty, but I've yet to give them an answer. I'd like to know if it's any worth doing at all as I've read it's something mandatory for all junior doctors.

I also plan to take the USMLE as an IMG and I'd like to know if say, I do take on this audit, would it look better on my CV as compared to taking on a research (should I be offered any). Thanks, really need some advice right now!
