I did my EMT training in an ER to complete the requirements for my program where I actually interacted with patients and performed skills that are within my scope. I also did this for my phlebotomy externship where I was actively performing venipunctures on patients. I am wondering If I can list these experiences on my application for clinical hours/experience? even though they are for training, would they still count? I especially would like to since my EMT training/experiences really helped me define why I wanted to be a doctor rather than a PA/nurse.

Yes, you can list them as clinical experience, but since they were not paid or volunteer positions, for AMCAS, you'd list them under the "Other" category, using the title of the space as the clue that it relates to patient interaction. Take care to include only the hours of patient contact. Make sure your Contact is in agreement with your hourly estimate.
