Hi,

So I just had wanted to get the opinion of some predental or dental students concerning my clinical hours. When I first started college, I initially thought I wanted to apply to medical school once I completed my bachelors, so after the summer of my high school graduation, I started volunteering and shadowing a local family physician. Working everyday during the summer for the past 2.5 years and some weekends during the semester, I've racked up almost, if not, 1000+ hours shadowing/volunteering at the clinic. But now, in my sophomore year, I've gained an interest in pre-dentistry and I think that is the line I want to pursue in the future, not medicine. I wanted to get your all's input on how much value my clinical hours at the physicians clinic have when I start applying to dental schools next year. I understand that I do need to get shadowing hours with dentists as well now, since that is the career I am pursuing, but I wanted to get opinions on my physician clinical hours.

Appreciate all the feedback!
