How much would a few years of a clinical lab scientist career at ucla ronald reagan medical center and quest diagnostics help with admission into a higher tier med school? Any experience or opinions would be appreciated, thanks!!

My path to med school has been: CLS (3 yrs experience), PA (4 yrs experience), med student
CLS was a definite plus for PA admissions. It seemed to be a positive for MD admissions but the ADCOMs were MUCH more interested in my PA experience.
I think CLS experience is better than most of the experience typical applicants have but it certainly does not make you a highly preferred candidate by itself.
