Clinical yr. required for path?

Is it correct that Pathology residencies no longer require a clinical year before starting, so that people matching in March, 2003 will start Pathology training in July, 2003? Thanks.

Pathology didn't require a clinical year prior to that either. I matched in March and started path in July back in 2001. What has changed is that a 5th year is not required. In the past this could be satisfied with a clinical year or a year in path.
