WTF? Can we not have a sensibly heated discussion on topics and opinions without worrying about Tkim the moderator from hec coming here and closing a thread? I am referring to the thread we had going about DO's in MD residencies....scroll down if you want to find it because it is now locked.
As you can read, it got heated, it cooled down a bit, and hec, we even apologized to each other...Junkie and myself, and I think it was another beneficial discussion. I certainly didn't call the principal to come to the playground, and I doubt Junkie did. I think there needs to be a better way of addressing heated discussions that to simply close them, especially coming from a moderator who is NOT our moderator.
This kind of thing really makes me question who chooses the moderators and this is not the first time I have felt this way about the esteemed Tkim. This person has had a power trip for years...closing threads unnecessarily.
99% of the time, our threads here in the EM area have no controversy at all. I think that is why OUR moderators normally take a silent-backseat stance and stay out of heated issues because they eventually end with a nice online "hug".
