MD & DO co'21 Residency Panic thread

uggggghhh yesterday night when I panic-added a few more programs, I somehow accidentally assigned all 4 of my LOR to all programs. I feel so stupid - one of them specified 3 total 🙁

how bad is this?

Go to Programs --> Programs Applied too--> Go under a program and select track assigned documents. If its green and says available then the program has access to them.

ok so they’re all green. Just curious why I’m not getting certain emails. My preceptor even says I’m freaking out too much but I told him you don’t understand lmfao

Got sent supplemental qs a few mins after apps going out, I’m assuming this means nothing and it was auto sent to everyone that applied tho

also my buddy got a gas IV already

also why tf does ERAS stuff automatically go to my clutter and junk folders, outlook out here tryna end my career

Those emails are from the aamc, so those of us getting them are prob signed up for certain aamc newsletters or something from M1 year. If you’re getting the “your lor has been uploaded ones” you’re getting the important ones from eras itself.

anyone? totally freaking out. 10 or so just said three required...i really dont want them to think i can't follow directions! i dont know how all got assigned to every program. i had methodically gone through

take a deep breath, there isn't anything you can do now regardless. I strongly doubt itll make any difference one way or the other

Haven’t read the entire thread so not sure if this was posted but on reddit they have specialty specific spreadsheets:

Was slightly freaking out about the the silence while others mentioning already receiving interviews but it was nice to see that none of the programs I applied to was listed in the interview offered tab as of today. Also plan to contribute when that time comes since it’s anonymous

My friend already got 4 interviews in a program and another 2.
Meanwhile I'm sitting at 0. I feel like I'm going through worse trauma than med school apps again.
and one of my letter writers hasn't even submitted their letter yet.

That spreadsheet is cancer. Now i have to wonder what i did wrong when others are getting interviews.

Oh I’m so sorry to add extra stress to your life! Gotta remember it’s only day 1, there is plenty of time.
 
Fwiw my invites are at local programs, one of which I did an audition. I have a feeling they are looking at local candidates first.
 
US MD and I applied 70-80 IM programs.... no interviews yet, just some secondaries

I don’t even have secondaries. Or Casper requests. Or application received. Or info sessions. Let alone invites. Literally nothing acknowledging my existence. So do I just die now?

Give it time. I read that programs couldn't even read applications yet today....they could only see names of applicants.

Ortho isn’t until Nov 23rd and I’m still refreshing eras q1hr...Oof

it’s nice knowing I don’t have to pack my bags for tijuana to escape these loans just yet, but def a bit of envy seeing my friends having IVs rolling in already
