collecting teeth for dental school??

Hello,

I am a freshman in college on the track to become a pediatric dentist. I have been doing a lot of research and came across people saying that there first year in dental school they had to collect teeth and it was very hard for them to do so. So I am wondering if I should start collecting teeth now as a freshman in college. I want to be able to do as much as I can before dental school as possible. Also if I collect the teeth now how should I store them and how long can I store them. I won’t be a dental student for another 3+ years ....

I heard they can be stored indefinitely in the right solution but it does seem a bit early for you. I don't think you should worry about it until you know where you're going since schools have different policies on tooth collection.

Just start the summer before your first year of dental school and you’ll have plenty of time.
