College Reports Hours on Transcript

Wondering if anyone else has a similar experience; my college allows you to report volunteer hours to them to be reported on your transcripts. First off, I see no benefit and its a pain to get them verified but if I just stop reporting hours would med schools question the discrepancy between what I report and what my college reports?

I think this is a sad commentary on the state of medical school admissions (and other programs for which there is significant competition) that we are now having to resort to officially documenting time spent volunteering and doing extracurriculars on the college transcript.

Agreed. Giving a contact for verification is good and all, but this is a little much. At least its not required by medical schools.
