Does anybody know if a poetry writing class will count towards the college writing requirement some DO schools have as an admissions prerequisite?

Is it lower division English or upper division?

I believe your undergrad school has already dictated if the class is Writing Intensive or not (at least my school did and I need one to graduate, besides intro English class).
So, I guess if it isn't writing intensive at your undergrad, you are pushing it to fulfill the writing requirement??? But what do I know?
