Hey all, I am trying to decide between University of Colorado and Creighton. I am from Utah and am doing a program where I go to the first year in state so it's cheaper and more convenient. I know cost is usually a big factor and Creighton will be cheaper, but does Colorado have any better recognition in the dental world? Especially being out of state, Colorado is pretty competitive so I'm just looking for some feedback. I also want to keep the option of specializing open, would I be better off at one or should I just go with the cheapest?

hey im in rdep right now. pm me if you have any questions..

Go to the cheaper school.
Recognition regarding different schools is irrelevant in the real world.

Both are good schools.

I have heard that Creighton has old facilities but offers good clinical experience.
I have friends at Colorado and they love it there. It does have a prestige about it; only the very best out of state can go there. It is actually among the cheaper OOS schools too.

Good Luck!

I was accepted to both as well, and I'm almost 100% for Colorado. Like another post said, Creighton has older facilities, and I personally didn't like the massive room full of dental chairs for a clinic. I loved the Colorado campus and felt the school as a wole was nicer and more updated. Also, there isn't that much of a difference in price (less than 30k including everything for 4 years) between the schools, so I like the nicer school, personally. Also, Denver vs. Omaha is no competition. Btw, I'm paying OOS prices.
