Trying to decide where to apply for 4th year away rotations, looking at Colorado (Denver) vs Texas schools (Baylor, UTSW, UTH). Any advice?

I like Colorado due to the area (Rockies) and Texas due to the weather (I'm from the northeast, so tired of this cold) & low cost of living. Can anyone share any other insights about both the areas and the schools?

Thank you!

I'm from Texas and interviewed at the programs you listed other than UTH. I'm a student at one of the Texas schools. I didn't do any aways, but did well on step 1 and 2, and somehow got AOA. My understanding is that Colorado historically has displayed more regional bias so it might make the most sense to do an away there to hopefully get an interview. Very nice facilities, faculty and residents seem super happy and chill. A west coast vibe for sure. Cost of living is pretty similar between Houston and Dallas. Denver is probably a touch more expensive. UTSW and Baylor are more academic IMO than UT Houston. I would also consider San Antonio and UTMB and maybe Scott and White if you're really interested in coming to Texas. All 3 are strong programs. Good luck.
