Admission and Application Requirements

According to the school website:
AN APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION. NO SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BY THE COLLEGE OF DENTAL MEDICINE

A non-refundable application processing fee in the amount of $75 must be submitted. Application fees are not credited toward tuition.

Is this $75 is something that should be paid in addition to what's paid through AADSAS?

Thanks in advance

My question is - my friend has already submitted the AADSAS application and made the appropriate payment as prompted thru AADSAS

When going through the 2013 ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools for Columbia, under "Secondary or supplemental application required" it says "Yes, a fee of $75" just as the above link states. Does this mean this $75 is something that should be paid in addition to what he paid through AADSAS?

Thanks in advance

Yes, $75 in addition to the AADSAS fee.

Yes, $75 in addition to the AADSAS fee.

Seriously? Why are they making applicants pay an additional $75 when they don't even require supplementary app?

Doesn't every single school have some sort of a "processing" fee? I applied to UConn and UoP, and although they had no supplementals, they still had extras fees. UNC and ECU have both extra fees and supplementals.
You pay them to give your application a look. LOL!

The primary fees go to AADSAS for facilitating this entire process. The secondary fees go to specific schools to compensate for the labor cost in looking at your apps.
