I'll most likely be going to Columbia Med School this fall, so I was just curious if someone could explain if it's P/F or whatever and if it changes depending on your year.

It's P/F first year, and H/P/F after that.
 
How many people usually get honors? Also what's the atmosphere like at Columbia...are the typical premed gunners few and far between?

I think it's about 15%. At least in my class, you can't really tell how people are doing. I think it's a good thing that grades are not discussed.

I don't think you can really generalize about a student body. Each class has it's own personality. I've never had any issues with gunner types in my class, for the most part. You'll never go anywhere that doesn't have people that bother you. Just do your own thing.

I think the best advice is that above: go to revisit and see what your future classmates are like!
