Columbia - how long after complete do they ask for interview

Hi All,

How long after your file at columbia is complete do they let you know if they woud like to interview you? They have an email which says once your complete, that they will 'promptly notify' you if you are chosen for interview.

Im curious how true the "promptly" part is.

So, I'm asking all:

1. What date was your application complete
2. When did you recieve your interview request

If you get an interview anywhere else in NYC, email them with the date and politely mention (if true) that you would have time to visit Columbia should you be chosen for an interview. They will probably get back to you within a week, if you do this. Other than that, I'll leave it to someone else to tell you how long it takes, b/c I did what I just described when I got an interview at Cornell.

I was complete at Columbia 9.8 and my letter was sent 10.11.

I'm not sure, but I think Columbia didn't give out complete notices until late August anyway. He may have been on the top of the pile (all parts of the app in june/july). Stoppushingit, can you clarify?

i received my "complete" e-mail on sept 22, and received my invitation to interview letter in the mail about three weeks later.

i sent in most of my app 8/10, but waited till the end of august to mail in my photo page.

My app was completed end of August too... but haven't heard a thing from Columbia. I think how quickly they reply to you depends on your stats and EC's, etc.
