Columbia MSTP - need GRE?

Hi, so I haven't taken the GRE b/c none of the med schools seem to need them, but Columbia has a spot to fill out GRE scores... does anyone know if it's mandatory to take the GRE for Columbia's MSTP program?

The GRE is not listed as a requirement here, but it may help you to take it? Maybe you should call them and ask.

No, it is not mandatory.

it is not needed, and from your MCAT i wouldn't worry about taking it.

For that matter, does any school require the GREs for MD/PhD applicants who are looking to get a PhD in the basic biomedical sciences? (e.g., not ethics and/or engineering)

University of Florida requires a GRE score from all MD/PhD applicants.

So far, they're the only one that I looked at with a mandatory GRE.

Does anyone know the "code" for the biology subject GRE? I took it and thought I would include it on my app since I got a good score, but I don't know what goes in the code field to let them know which subject test I took.

IIRC, Ohio wanted one, as well as GW. At least they used to...
