columbia post dec 1 interview and acceptance

hey guys,

has anyone, who interviewed with columbia after DEC 1, hear back

from Columbia back?

i interviewed on the 11th, and still waiting.

15th Jan is coming up soon and getting very nervous.
 
no word yet.

Dr. McManus said that they were going to start reviewing again on the 8th of January, with acceptance/waitlists/etc. to be mailed shortly thereafter.

If you look at last year's predents, there are a few people who interviewed in December and found out between Jan 14th-ish to about Jan 26th-ish.

Congrats on the acceptance!! I was also interviewed on dec 11, but haven't heard back yet. I was wondering if your aadsas status was updated?

this past friday.

just gotta wait for mine.

I m really really getting nervous.

Hey IliaBug, did you get the mail regular mail, or via Fedex UPS, certified mail.

if it was post marked on the 8th, you got it really fast
 
Any recent interviewees know how full the class is at Columbia so far?
 
Do they send their notification via regular mail or email?
 
i just called Columbia, and they said my application is still under review.

I guess they didn't quite like me yet keke.

I guess anything but rejection is good news

and I think columbia notifies you by snail mail.
 
if you look at predents,

there is a guy who already got rejected.

so i don't know if you are right on this.

and last year when i applied,

i had an interview Feb, and got rejected march

so....

that guy (or girl) who was rejected on predents is an international student. i'm pretty sure the process (dates and dealines) are different for them (at least from what i've read on this forum).

but either way, gotta keep my fingers crossed for this fridays review.

i made a mistake, i think they started rejecting people in march last year.

also, you should just relax, there will be alot of movement all the way up to may.
 
I have an interview mid February, is it even worth it?
 
Does anyone know for sure when the next wave is sent out? Do they even have another "batch" of notifications, or is it on an individual applicant basis?
 
since last friday was the deadline for dec 1st people to put their deposits, I would assume they sent out a bunch of acceptance last friday.

just my speculation. not 100% tho.
 
Do they update on AADSAS?

I was eagerly waiting to finish up work and check my mail box.

I was very nervous, but only to realize that today no mail was delivered due to the MLK day......

gotta wait few more days ...T.T

Very recently, Jan 8th. Do you think they send out a wave soon for all interviewees who went before Jan 15th? Or do you think it is on a person by person basis?

Hey Hajibandeh,

How did you managed to get a december 18th interview? I was under the impression that your interview date was in february, like mine.
 
I interviewed there recently and I'm waiting to hear back. I stalked my postal carrier today but sadly nothing from Columbia yet.

Maybe they mailed out acceptances today? Fingers crossed

Ha I was there that day. I know how you feel. I wouldn't mind waiting if I knew when it was coming 🙂
 
offer made on aadsas, interviewed mid-dec.

is that normal? i havent received a packet or anything...seems like everyone received mail before aadsas was updated...
 
waitlisted... 😎 updated today 1/22 on aadsas. meh
 
i interviewed on Dec. 11th and got letter in the mail dated Dec. 18th saying I was waitlisted. Nothing changed today.

interviewed 12/11, got in 01/22 through aadsas. did anyone get any mail yet?
 
I got in on thursday and interviewed on december 18th same day as haji

Super surprised as I didnt think I was getting in. Guess I did better on my interview then I thougt.

Must have met you Haji though the day is a bit of a blur for me since i was a little bummed by my interview.
