Hello ?
I have a slight dilemma here. A pre-professional committee (which is actually only one person at my school) does exist at my university, but since my decision to pursue optometry came late, I never met with that person throughout my four years. I do have three letters of recommendations from my professors, one of which has already been sent to the schools I?m applying to. I recently met with the "committee" and he says that he will write the composite letter for me, but I do not feel comfortable with this since he does not know me. SUNY asks that a letter from the "committee" stating why a recommendation cannot be written be sent to them: "If a Committee exist and can not submit a letter of recommendation, a letter from that Committee indicating why, is required." I am more comfortable asking the "committee" to write me this letter and having him state that he does not know me well enough, but will this make me look horrible to the admissions committee?
