How valuable exactly is a committee letter? my pre-health committee is not willing to write me a letter since my stats are not up to par with their expectations? My individual LORs are and will be far superior than my committee letter if I get one after retaking the MCAT to get a higher score. Will this truly hurt my chances?

Look at the application requirements from each school you are applying to. Most will allow you to supplement a committee letter with three other letters; two science professors, and one non-science professor. Hope this helps.

Who do you have letters from so far? I know some schools are willing to give exceptions for non-trad. Just call admissions and ask.

I'm a nontrad, and I know that obtaining faculty LoRs can be difficult, so far I have 2 science professors, 3 DO letters and 1 MD letter. However obtaining that last nonscience letter has been rather difficult for me.

I think you need to get a committee letter if possible. For AMCAS it requires that if your school has one you MUST get one, so it should be the same for DO's.
