Hey SDN! So I originally went away to a 4 year university and after one semester quickly decided that the school wasn't for me. I had no idea what career field I wanted to enter at the time and so I took classes at my local community college while I figured it out.
So I know that most colleges accept 60 Community College credits. Well, I took WAY more than 60 credits at my community college. This was mainly because I didn't know what I wanted to do! I therefore have some business classes, some psychology classes and a bunch of other random ones that really contributed nothing towards my degree. Well after a few semesters I discovered dentistry and obviously from that point on switched to taking science classes. My biggest question is how do dental schools decide WHICH 60 credits to take? Obviously I would want them to take my prerequisite ones but does it really work this way?
I didn't take all pre-requisites at my CC but did take majority of them there. I have since transferred to another four year university and have finished the rest of my pre-reqs there, if anyone was wondering.
I know there are forums that talk about community colleges but I haven't found any regarding this particular topic. Thanks guys! Any input is helpful 🙂
