what do we use as our password and ID? i forgot it already; i never got it in my letter of acceptance

Sup Fowler, I didn't get it either. You use your first name initial and whole last name as log in. For your password it is the last 2 digits of your birthyear and last 4 digits of your SS#.

I know y'all are gonna kill me but...how do I even get to the Western U e-mail login page.

I tried off the main website and I can't find it. Have I totally lost it or what? :laugh:

just fyi, i was having trouble signing into banweb w/ the 1st initial and last name as my id...but when i used my soc as my id, i could sign in.

haven't gotten anything for fin aid yet. soree.

what are you guys planning on doing for gyms? doesn't COMP contribute $100/year to a membership? Do most students join LA fitness? 24 Hr? i think the closest 24 hr is in ontario. where's the best place? or do most apt complexes have "workout rooms"? thanks for the help!

Hey risar,
I remember they said we get a free membership to the YMCA or LA fitness right by COMP. I don't remember if it's one or the other, but it's a couple of minutes off the campus.

I'm not sure if any of the apartment complexes have workout places. I'm probably going to work out at the place where they give us the membership. You can't beat that. 🙂
 
YMCA is free to COMP students and then during our online registration we qualify for reduced rates at L.A. Fitness and Bally's...there were no special contracts with 24 hr.

that's what the fitness info lady told me at COMP

have you heard about the summer programs yet? i was told at the end of feb by dr kuehn that he was going to start reviewing files in early march for isac...so shouldn't they be sending out invites to isac? so much to do if i start in june...housing, moving-aagh. top priority is to travel...anyone else planning to get some miles in before school starts?

i'm such a worrywart 😱

For our year, if we wanted to sign up with another club, COMP would reimburse us ~$100-$140 towards the cost of membership. Make sure you confirm this for your year.

So has everyone done their physical and immunizations yet? I did them all and now am just waiting for the serum results. I'll probably turn them all in next week. That should knock off the other holds.

Hey crazy. I like the name slickness because it adequately describes me.😉

However, many times throughout my posting under that name, people have flamed me saying I was arrogant and too into myself. This has happened on more than one occasion.

Although it probably is due to what I actually post, I can't help thinking that it may partially be due to the name which in itself can be thought of as arrogant.

I don't see myself as conceded but inevitably with a name like slickness I am sure some people may view me as that. I made the name because I thought it was funny but I never thought I would become a regular SDN member.

Thus, I changed it to Adapt. Something that really has no significance. You may ask why adapt, and there is no other reason accept I like how the word sounds. 🙂
 
hey i think we got to do this after we get our projected amount of funds/loans from the school

i think its saying that you have to fill this out in order to actually start getting the loans

that's how it was when i went to grad school last year; i filled this out right before school started after i learned how much financial aid i'd get

correct me if i'm wrong though

10 min. worth of info then u take a quiz at the end

I think you're right. Maybe it doesn't matter when you fill it out though.

Nothing here yet. Just 3 days till the end of March though so who knows.

I was out lookin for housing in the areas around COMP and my parents asked me to stop by the school so they can see it...we got the security guard to pull off a lil' mini tour and in one of the lecture halls i turn to see my mom crying "tears of joy"...i almost threw up

She must have been impressed by the facilities. Although the outside looks are ok, inside the class rooms and anatomy room is top notch. 👍
 
yeah from the outside i told them not to expect much and they tried to hide their "that's it" looks but once inside both mom and pops were very impressed.

bunch of current students in the break out rooms started laughin out loud when we were bein shown certain things by the security guard and I thought that was EXTREMELY RUDE.
 
I've been thinking of having a party either in may for my birthday or the week before school starts. All COMP peeps would be invited of course!

What's the concensus on meeting up soon?

And.....what does everyone think of a possible dress code and attendance policy at COMP? I saw this in a post in the Osteo forum, and nearly **** myself.

still no fin aid and isac info for me. i'll be sending in my health forms and stuff this week...ever the procrastinator

Risar, where's your conspicuous one? What is it? I did the same thing when I was 18, and walked down the aisle in an elegant wedding dress with a big black tattoo on my arm, to the chagrin of my grandma. I'm not really ashamed of it though. Thanks for the birthday wishes, and I hope we get our bloody financial aid and ISAC forms soon. Whenever we can all meet would be cool. Where in norcal are you?

I assure you, Dohza darling, that my tat will be nothing like yours. I was referring to the general medical theme, not the actual object. There's an awfully good chance that very few (if any) in the world will have the same tattoo as me.

As for the laptop, I make no promises. 😉

cool! hmmm maybe my next tat will be a caduceus (haha) on my back over a butterfly/dragonfly on my hip. don't worry dohza, i won't jack your art😉 i have a rose on my left arm-its pretty big too. i really liked it before but i'm totally over it now. if only i could transfer it to my back or something...my friend in fullerton sees this DO who's taking off her huge tat on her back and she said that he was super nice and caring. yay DOs! she had seen an MD before the DO but she switched b/c she had laser treatments for a year with minimal results. now that i'll be down in socal i can use her doc! yah my parents pretty much peed in their pants when they saw it. i'm also kinda worried about how it'll look in a pure white wedding dress-not that i'm getting hitched anytime soon. i think my older, more conservative relatives would freak...o wells.


i'm living in sf now. been here almost all of my life except for the 4 yrs up in davis. so the move to socal will be totally new! i visit sd a lot b/c my bf is in school there but other than that, i don't go down to socal much.

I visited SF a couple of times and I have to say it is an interesting city. I didn't like how some parts are really bunched together with tall buildings and skinny streets. You may find socal to be quite different from SF but I'm sure you'll think it's ok.👍

I just mailed off my physical and immunizations just in case that is keeping the financial aid award coming. The due date on one of my letters said April 1, which I may miss by a couple of days but I don't think it's a big deal.

Maybe someone should call the financial aid office and ask about our awards? I'll probably do it soon if I don't hear anything.
 
I had dream last night i got my financial aid letter...i only got $10.
WTF? Good thing it was a dream...or at least i think it was...

got an envelope from western today; but unfortunately it wasn't financial aid notification

it was the form for ISAC; don't think i'm gonna do it though
