I thought it would be a good idea to compile how each school deals with Oct 15
Tufts sends snail mail at Oct 15 during the day. No email i think.
Pitt said snail mail and email. I thought they said end of Oct 15 (Tuesday) but tell me I'm wrong.

I thought I remembered Pitt saying "No final decisions are given over email or the phone"...I guess I could be wrong.

i think people should add info about all dates of expected offers, not just Oct. 15
 
RealMD, where did you hear about Baylor calling around 6PM? Just curious. I'm not going to be waiting though.

SUNY stony brook - said they overnight/2-day acceptances, snail mail rejections and email (i think) waitlists (but i don't know when they send these out!)

SUNY downstate - i have no clue

SUNY buffalo - mr rosso said that we'd be getting decisions in the mail on the 15th (but he might have meant that they mail it out on the 15th... b/c how could he ensure would we get it on the 15th if it takes different amounts of time for people to get their mail?)

i know its vague but thats all i know, if you know specifics please add to this!

Do people want to do all schools? I think that would make a useful sticky as well.
 
are you sure Vandy on the 17? I remember them saying early Nov during my interview.
 
Vandy said at my interview that the first decisions would go out the week of the 15th. I interviewed on the third day, though. Perhaps you interviewed later, Tropicana, so your decision won't go out until November?

ok cool. i interviewed early sept, a bit later than you.
 
does anyone know how rochester notifies? i asked the people there the other day and found out that the first decisions go out on october 15 for sure but i forgot to ask how. anyone know?

i work there so one day on my way to lunch i stopped by that little reception area and asked. the lady went and checked with the admissions people in the back and came out and told me october 15.
 
i posted this in another thread but thought i'd try here as well...

for schools that say "snail mail on the 15th" what does that mean exactly? does that mean they will mail the letters on the 15th or that we should receive them on the 15th (thereby implying they mailed them earlier??) because if they mail them on the 15th, then you don't really get your decision until whenever the mail gets to you

I have noo idee either... I keep checking it and my status says no action..I can't move until the mail comes.... I hope the decision comes in the mail today at least🙂.

I too am waiting for buffalo. My suggestion is to go workout.

that will kill the time with something productive and you might even have amazing news when you come back.

I just called and the nice woman I spoke to informed me that Mr. Rosso is working on it right now and to check in the afternoon/possibly tomorrow (but hopefully not). :luck:! oh, the anticipation!

i know...my buffalo login name isn't working all of a sudden!! this means something must be happening....anyone else's number stop working....p.s. the snail mail came today it isn't there!🙂

I just called Georgetown and Temple.

Gtown - I interviewed 9/20 and they said I could expect a decision to be mailed late this week/early next week.

Temple- the lady said there was no time frame from interview to acceptance. I interviewed last week and she said to just keep checking status.

What the hell my buffalo status says "intermediate"! What does that mean!?
 
I just called, the admissions secretary doesn't know what "intermediate" means and she said Mr. Rosso has left the building and she doesnt know when he'll be back! LOL

I'm just gonna assume thats some kind of waitlist

For those of you anxiously awaiting to hear from UVM, I called this morning and was told that we should have our decisions by the end of the week. They will update our status pages and then will send a snail mail letter as well. Good luck!

Not that I'm doubting, but did you hear this from the schools directly? I've interviewed at both and while they mentioned the dates, they didn't say it'd be at midnight (they didn't mention a particular time at all).

I got an email from Prizker on 10/12 saying that the decisions will come out on October 17th (via phone).
